Wyoming

Hanoverian gelding,
Chestnut, *1996
Breeder: Klaus Michaelis, Basdahl/GER
Owner: Véronique Henschen

Wyoming was trained by Dr. Nicole Deinzer who, in 2001, rode the large-framed chestnut to bronze with a score of 8.5 at the federal championship for five-year-old dressage horses. This was followed in 2002 by sixth place at the World Cup for six-year-old horses in Verden/GER (with a score of 8.44) and third place in the mini final at the federal championships. The pair then qualified in dressage up to Class S.

Wyoming was then passed on to me in 2005 as a nine-year-old. The chemistry between us was excellent and we were able, in our very first season together, to finish with sixth place in the final of the Juniors category of the European Cup in Barzago/Italy with 72.45 percent. What a success! Unfortunately Wyoming suffered a serious injury in January of the following year.

Fortunately he recovered thanks to some devoted tender loving care. I am still using him as a training horse as he is no longer able to take part in tournament events.
